William Merrick is a seasoned professional dedicated to community development and affordable housing. With a background in architecture, construction management, and community rehabilitation, he has extensive experience managing large-scale industrial and residential projects across Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas.
Prior to joining Empower CDC, William served on their board of directors. He played a key role in developing several ongoing programs, including Empower’s Senior Home Rehabilitation program, which helps the community’s most vulnerable residents age-in-place.
Inspired by his own upbringing in Mississippi, William is passionate about helping others achieve financial stability through homeownership. In his downtime, he enjoys gardening and playing sports with his family.
